This accident was not reported for some time after its occurrence,
but from what could be learned, it was caused by the man having failed to
set props under a dangerous piece of slate. He was a stranger to coal
mining and was not competent to protect himself.)

in the flywheel of No. 2 Shaft and instantly killed. The body was so badly

of preparing it for burial. Deceased leaves a wife and child. He came here
