(Killed. Instantly killed by being caught between a mine car and a
coal pillar near the bottomof the slope. He was riding on the rear
end of the electric motor preparing to pull the hitch pin. In making
a swing into the bottom of the slope he jumped backwards and fel, with his
face alongside of the T-rail and the wheel of the first car ran over his
head, in the Erie No. 1 Mine, Nov. 5, 1912. Jury rendered verdict of
accidental death from unknown causes.)
