The United Mine Workers of America, Union Local 5763 represented the coal miners at Salem No. 1 Mine & Salem Coke Works, Salemville, Salem Township and Salem No. 2 Mine, at Keystone Lake, Derry Township, Westmoreland County.

Peter E. Starry, Jr's United Mine Workers Union Cards. Peter E. Starry, Jr. served as President of UMW Local 5763, of Salem Mines during the late 1940's and early 1950's.
