(Killed.  Injured internally by a fall of slate while taking down a machine cut of coal off the side of a pillar.  Two posts had been set under the slate. The slate broke out over the posts set under the extreme point of a slip, causing the other post to swing out and fall on him.  In the Penn Manor No. 5 Mine, Mar. 13, 1916.  He died the following day in the hospital.)
