(Adams Mine; Hahntown Mine), Westmoreland Co., PA. He spent 54 years in the
mines working mostly pick & shovel. He retired in 1942. He was father
to 12 children several of whom died as infants and children from diptheria,
scarlet fever, etc. Grandpap died at in his mid-nineties. His only surviving
child is my father who is now 86.)
