where the wires were, containinmg 500 volts. His hand came in contact
with them and he could not release himself. The driver put his brake
rope around him and pulled him off, but it was too late. He was out
of his section of the mine, and on the driver's trip, where he had no business.)

the Larimer Mine, July 21, 1903. At this mine the power house is located
in the mine, and power from an alternating current of 4,000 volts is used
to run the generators, making 500 volts for use in the mine. Weible
was at the switch-board of the alternating current, cutting out the contact
switches, he having failed to build up the power the first time. He
got his hand below the insulation on the levers, and caused a short circuit
through his body. He was young at the business and did not use enough
precaution.)
