[The old Bon Raven Mine was located behind Moore'sStore.  It was bought from a Canadian firm at a sheriff's sale in ca.1920 by th eSutter-Rin Coal Company. Later additional coal was purchased and a new opening was made on the Woamer farm and a trestle built across the north branch of plum Creek near where the Presbyterian Manse is located to haul the coal to the railroad siding and the refuse to a dump.
