[Phillips is located along PA Rt. 51, two miles north of Uniontown, on the Redstone Branch of the Pennsylvania Railroad and the West Penn Railways trolley line.]

Phillips Mine & Coke Works (ca.1907-1944),
Located on Route 51, two miles north of Uniontown, on the Redstone Branch of the P.V.& C. Railroad, later this became the Redstone Branch of the Pennsylvania Railroad, Phillips, Menallen Twp., Fayette Co., PA.
[The Fayette County coke region's last bee-hive coke oven installation occurred in ca.1907 at the H.C. Frick Coke Company's Phillips Coke Plant.]
[Phillips Coke Works contained 400 coke ovens ca.1910, ca.1919.]

Railroad Branch line that served the Phillips Mine & Coke Works and the other mines & coke works.  The West Penn Railway line also served the Redstone Creek mining patches with trolley service.
