| Bitner, PA Mine Accident, Feb., 1913 Is Crushed in Mine. Tony Mingora, aged 19 years, is in the Cottage State hospital in a serious condition as the result of an accident yesterday in the mines at Bitner. He was caught between two pit wagons and badly crushed. He was removed to the hospital following the accident.
The Daily Courier, Connellsville, PA INJURIES ARE FATAL Youth Crushed in Bitner Mine Dies at the Hospital. Tony Mingora, 19 years old, who was injured Monday afternoon in the mines at Bitner, died yesterday afternoon at the Cottage State hospital of his injuries. He was caught between two pit wagons. A brother, Henry, Was killed in the same mines about four years ago.
The body was removed from the hospital to the Funeral Director
C. C. Mitchell’s parlors and prepared for burial. Funeral services will
be held this afternoon at 4 o’clock from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Italian
Church. His parents survive. |
