Al Waschelewski, Coal Miner Adams Mine.
My Grandfather Al Waschelewski worked at "Adams Mine", "Adamsburg Mine","Arona Mine" and Edna #1 Mine in addition to "Hutchinson Mine". He then worked at "Wildwood Mine" off of Route 8 by Butler, Pa. and also worked mines in Indiana County. He was originally from Herminie, Pa and lived in Edna #1 housing. He got me my first job in the "Adamsburg Mine" and I also worked in the "Hutchinson Mine". My Grandfather always seemed to be working where ever the work was plenty, this was why he worked around so much. "Joy" equipment company had a picture of him running a "Joy Coal Loader" in a low coal area where the mine was about 4 to 5 feet high, real low and I always cherish that picture. I like the web site, it brings back memories and a time, I at the time thought was ruff, but now consider the best chacreter building years of my life! I am proud to have worked with my grandfather and proud to have been a miner. Something I have always tried to get through to my kids, "How Good They Got It Now"!

Thanks, Good Job! Dan Waschelewski
