He was employed making a crosscut in a room rib. He left his
boarding house early in the morning taking with him three sticks of dynamite,
which he carried in his coat pocket. Upon ariving at his working place
he informed the workman in the next place that he had a notion to fire a
shot in the coal, and a few minutes later the dynamite was exploded, which
mangled his body terribly. The conditions indicate that he had one
or all three of the sticks of dynamite in his hand when it exploded.)
