mine car near the main opening inside the mine, July 18, 1907. He died
in thirty minutes. The motorman had swung a loaded trip in on the loaded
track and it failed to go over the knuckle. A wooden rail was used
from the motor to a loaded mine car to push the trip over the knuckle. The
rail broke, throwing the motorman off the motor. Rankin jumped on the
motor evidently to stop it, but the motor ran into the empty mine car with
the with above results.)

and three other persons were pulling two loaded mine cars from the tipple
with an engine and a wire rope passing through two moveable blocks. When
they reached a point where Tinko had to uncouple the rope, they failed to
get the engine stopped. The block was simply hooked to a guard rail,
and as the mine cars went on became unhooked, and the tension on the rope
caused it to fly up and strick Tinko. Outside the Blaine Mine, Dec.
